MG stands for MeherGarh, which is one of the oldest known civilizations in South Asia located in what is now south-west Pakistan. Mehergarh was a seat of learning and encouraged modern ideas and advanced forms of art.

MGFoundation-USA was established in 2006 to support the efforts of its sister organization MeherGarh: a center for learning in Pakistan. The organization is currently doing work in the area of raising awareness to the issue of bonded labor in Pakistan.
