MG Foundation was created in 2006 in the U.S. to:

• raise awareness among the residents of U.S. about efforts made in Pakistan to promote human rights; youth leadership for social justice; and a pluralistic, gender-balanced society in Pakistan
  
  
• provide an opportunity for Pakistani-origin U.S. citizens / residents or those interested in Pakistan (students and scholars) to become a part of the struggle to curb religious fundamentalism and encourage pluralism in Pakistan.
  
  
• support financially the activities of Mehergarh: A Center for Learning, Pakistan, by raising funds for them in the USA.
